The Effects of Technology Only Time Will Tell

The Effects of Technology.  Hey, everybody. Glad to have you back. How will the ever-evolving advancements in technology, affect the overall development of human behavior for generations to come. Big data and M2M advancements are filling us with excitement and anticipation.

However, there will be more pieces to the puzzle to consider before celebrating technological growth. Changes will be in how we interact socially, academically and our family structure as we know it. We will adapt. Just like we adapted to the industrial revolution, we are now adapting to the era of the digital revolution.

Moreover, what is the big question regarding The Effects of Technology?  How do we as people, adapt to the changes that are sure to come? One way to examine the future is to take a quick summarized look at how we adapted in the past. Once we became socialized as a people, I am going back aways here, like 8000 BC. just to give a little bit of real history.

Back then the world was vast and uncharted.  Civilizations had differences in their climate as well as their intellect.  I don’t know if it was a climate effect, but while some were living in caves others were building cities.  Anyway, with that said, we are a product of our environment, and we adapt and grow accordingly.

The Effects of Technology

In the past, we learned to change either as a means of survival. And to be honest, some adapted, not because of survival alone. Self-perseverance instead of human perseverance became the priority. Today we call it greed.

Furthermore, it was that greed and adaptation that more than likely fueled the agricultural, and industrial revolutions.  Adaptation is a human characteristic that explains our continued existence. Moreover, greed which I refuse to call a human characteristic propelled mere survival into wanting power.

 The Digital Revolution.

The digital revolution has brought on another need to adapt. The heart of the digital era also called the information age was given birth by technological advancements. It may be the fact that I am living in this change we are experiencing that compels me to say the following.

Or it could be the combination of having lived primarily in the industrial era and now seeing the introduction of a new era unfolding. But, ” whether good or bad, we see changes that will affect our way of life in ways that are unprecedented.” It is a matter of right or wrong it is also a question of how good or bad new technology will affect us.

Technology and Social Effects

Socially, and probably it can be said about other human characteristics as well, is technology has both good and bad aspects as it relates to natural behavior.  For example; social interaction has decreased, but, on the other hand, those who felt isolated within their feelings, now have means to find others who are liked minded.

Overall I think new technology is bad socially. There are more occasions in which technology fails us.  What do you think? You can easily point out more and more incidents where you have two people or more in a setting, only to find their focus entrenched in an application on some mobile device. Yes, this new technology has made life easier.

But humans are social creatures, and this ever-evolving technology overall worsens are social fabric.

Technology and Everyday Life

Technology has become interwoven into our lives to the point we feel dependent on the devices that make our life easier in some ways.  The best thing it has done was make communication faster which made the world smaller.

The Effects of TechnologyThe worse thing technology brings to the table is affects health and dependency.  The common issues in health like obesity, diabetes, and sedentary lifestyles, can be attributed to advanced technology.

Looking back I thought the remote control brought issues with it.  However, compared to how the ever-evolving technology today has become a part of our everyday activities, and our dependency on it.

Life as we know it will have once again have to adapt. This will entail reevaluating health, social, mental, educational and the economical ways in which we live today, as it pertains to new technology.

Children and Technology

Have you ever set in amazement as you watch your grandchild or child who is more 3 years old, pick up a smartphone or iPad and use it like they’ve been doing it all their life?  Well, they have.  And as time progresses the things you will have to learn about advances in new technology will be a natural nuance for today’s children.

An article in Psychology Today says that the use of technology can alter the actual wiring of the brain.  First of all, more than a third of children under the age of two use mobile media.

That number only increases as children age, with 95% of teens 12-17 spending time online. The time spent with technology doesn’t just give kids unique ways of doing things; it changes the way their brains work.

Taken from the article by By Pamela DeLoatch “Technology Changes the Way Children Feel”. Using technology can affect a child’s ability to empathize.

A study on two groups of sixth graders. Found that kids who for five days without access to electronic devices.  Are better at picking up on emotions and nonverbal cues of photos of faces than kids who use devices during that time.

A report from the United Kingdom reveals that kids who use games and the Internet for four or more hours.  Do not have the same sense of well-being as those who use that technology for less than an hour. One expert explained that with less physical contact, children might have difficulty developing social skills and emotional reactions.

I know technology and the advances it brings are suppose to be for the better of us all.  But if we take off our blinders. And look at a broader picture.  We will see that all the advances in technology may be more of an invasion into human nature? The effects of technology could be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

About Maurice Jackson

Hello, my name is Maurice Jackson I live and, started my business in Detroit. My intentions are, to help any and every one with affiliate marketing as a home business, become a successful professional. My first career was working for the city of Detroit as an inspector, where I thought I would retire. But life brings change and surprises. I sustained an injury that led to an earlier retirement than I had planned. With that said I reinvented myself in April of 2014 and, became part of an affiliate program. Within the time of my reinvention leading up to the present, I am generating lots of traffic to my website and it grows every day. ROI has been minimal but then again I invested nothing to start. I am at the point of letting my site mature, as I keep writing quality content about it. In this business, you have to pay your dues. Furthermore, I and the rest of our family (become a member and you will see the family side of it) of 109000, including the founders of the program (yes they participate), will see to it that we all will be making a substantial amount of revenue as members

I think technology affects everyone differently as you said we all have different needs, some people live in cave and some build cities. Actually I am quite intimidated by the improvement of technology and I hope it will go well.
